Con la participación de miles de fieles católicos tanto de manera presencial como a través de redes sociales, el Gobernador Victor Manuel Tamayo Vargas y la primera dama Nathalia Sierra Ramírez, celebraron el aniversario de la Virgen de Guadalupe, acompañados de las diferentes autoridades de Policía y el Batallón San Mateo de Pereira.
La gestora risaraldense informó que la fiesta en honor a la Virgen de Guadalupe regresó en todo su esplendor luego de dos años cargados de restricciones por la pandemia, “Cada año sin falta mi esposo y yo organizamos para quienes son marianos los festejos por el acontecimiento guadalupano, que este año se celebran 491 años desde su aparición en México. Por ello nosotros madrugamos a rezar el rosario, a cantar el ave maría y tenemos como es tradicional el mariachi con las “mañanitas”, porque la celebración no es exclusiva de México, pues la virgencita toca el corazón de sus hijos a lo largo y ancho del continente”, dijo Sierra Ramírez.
César Augusto Orozco, organizador de la Fiesta desde hace 27 años, explicó que este año se realizó la coronación de la Virgen, razón por la cual la ceremonia fue más majestuosa que en años anteriores.
