Más de 2 mil hombres estarán custodiando la región y cerca de 700 en los ejes viales, para garantizar la seguridad de más de 60 mil turistas.
La Octava Brigada del Ejército Nacional en Risaralda lanza su campaña ¡Viaje Seguro, su Ejército está en la vía!, con el objetivo de brindar seguridad a quienes escogieron como destino turístico la región cafetera durante la semana de receso escolar.
Los uniformados de la Octava Brigada, cuentan con todas las capacidades necesarias para brindar seguridad, así lo dio a conocer el comandante del Batallón de Artillería N.8 Batalla de San Mateo, Teniente coronel Carlos Mauricio Salas Esteban, “de manera integral con la Gobernación de Risaralda y la Policía Nacional nos articulamos para garantizar que las familias que llegan a esta región disfruten con seguridad y tranquilidad de esta semana”.
El trabajo de los batallones que se encuentran en Risaralda estará en concordancia con los planes de las alcaldías y la Gobernación, en algunos casos estarán trabajando de manera coordinada con Parques Nacionales para acompañar a quienes desean realizar turismo ecológico.
“La línea gratuita 147 del Gaula Militar del Eje Cafetero estará disponible para que la población denuncie cualquier información relacionada con los flagelos de extorsión y secuestro, o alteración en el orden público, dentro de su campaña Yo no pago, Yo denuncio, la que estarán difundiendo en distintos sitios y atractivos turísticos”, señaló el coronel Pedro Iván González.
De esta forma la Octava Brigada del Ejército Nacional, estará no solo en sitios visibles sino en áreas rurales para evitar cualquier situación que afecte la tranquilidad de la región, recordándole a los colombianos y extranjeros: Viaje seguro, su Ejército está en la vía.
