Continuidad al programa de becas universitarias Risaralda Profesional con pertinencia de carreras, formación para docentes y mejoramiento de sedes educativas rurales, fueron las principales apuestas socializadas por el candidato Liberal a la Gobernación de Risaralda, Juan Diego Patiño Ochoa, durante la realización del conversatorio con candidatos a la Gobernación denominado “Reimaginar la educación desde los territorios”.
Patiño Ochoa hizo especial énfasis ante rectores de universidades, estudiantes y representantes de diferentes agremiaciones presentes en el conversatorio, en ampliar el programa Risaralda Profesional, con el fin de que los jóvenes de los municipios alejados puedan graduarse de las universidades con el apoyo económico de la Gobernación.
“Hoy son 9.500 jóvenes beneficiarios de este proyecto importante entre carreras técnicas, tecnológicas y profesionales, quisiéramos que esos jóvenes que están estudiando este tipo de carreras puedan profesionalizarse. Risaralda Profesional requiere también la pertinencia educativa”, señaló el candidato.
Asimismo Juan Diego añadió: “Es importante hacer énfasis en la posibilidad de integrar un programa mucho más robusto, por la deserción del 30% de los jóvenes que acceden a una beca y vienen del occidente. Necesitamos pensar en los transportes, alimentación y lo que cuesta que estos jóvenes de los municipios más alejados estén estudiando en Pereira donde se encuentran las universidades de este territorio”.
Además, mencionó trabajar por una propuesta de Educación con Vocación, que incluye una formación de docentes que permita mejorar la calidad educativa en las aulas de clase de los 12 municipios no certificados en educación, que tiene a cargo la Gobernación.
“La formación docente no es solamente becar la planta docente del departamento para formación en maestrías, especializados y doctorados sino que también, se convierta en un semillero para las insttiuciones educativas”, comentó.
También socializó su interés en gestionar mejoras en la infraestructura educativa de las sedes rurales del departamento, apoyar la estrategia “Risaralda destino universitario”, y el programa Risaralda Bilingüe para mejorar la competitividad de nuestros estudiantes.
“En la parte de infraestructura no solo nos faltan 5 megacolegios, sino que también faltan 150 sedes rurales por inversión. Cuesta 21 mil millones de pesos actualizar y fomentar esta posibilidad. Queremos trabajar mancomunadamente de la mano de los municipios para el tema de giros para el transporte para la educación de niños y jóvenes. La infraestructura para el programa del PAE para pasar de las raciones industrializadas a la posibilidad de vincular a las insttiuciones y padres de familia para que esos jóvenes en sitio preparen los alimentos y eso contibuya en la calidad de la educación de nuestros jóvenes y niños en Risaralda”, mencionó.
La dinámica durante el evento también giró en torno a la realización de mesas temáticas de trabajo basadas en los siguientes puntos: educación inicial, educación básica y media, educación inclusiva y educación superior, para el trabajo y el desarrollo humano.
Felipe Baena, rector de la Universidad del Área Andina y presidente de la Red Universitaria de Risaralda, expresó: “Estoy muy emocionado porque hoy se vivió una fiesta de la educación donde todos los que hacemos parte pudimos unirnos para tener una conversación muy importante con los candidatos a la Gobernación. Me gustó lo del programa Risaralda Profesional, lo cual considero muy oportuno, y el fortalecimiento de Risaralda como destino para estudiar”.
Como conclusiones de su intervención, Juan Diego Patiño manifestó que es necesario replantear el modelo de educación en Risaralda, es un modelo multigrado, multiárea que en lugar de cerrar las brechas las está ampliando.
