Un total de 356 tarjetas del Sistema Integrado de Transporte Público Megabús, cargadas con dos pasajes diarios de lunes a viernes, para igual número de Presidentes de Juntas de Acción Comunal de Pereira, entregó el alcalde Mauricio Salazar, quienes ahora garantizarán su transporte para realizar el trabajo comunitario.
El alcalde Mauricio Salazar, quien estuvo acompañado de su gabinete y el gerente de la empresa Megabús Dario Acosta, en el momento de la entrega, destacó que ésta, es solo una primera acción de respaldo a los Presidentes de Juntas y que en su administración siempre encontrarán las puertas abiertas, ya que ellos son quienes conocen las realidades de las comunidades y son el puente entre la Alcaldía y la ciudadanía.
“Los presidentes de las Juntas de Acción Comunal hacen una labor muy importante en pro de la ciudad, entonces, como un reconocimiento y un apoyo le hemos entregado una tarjeta de Megabús a cada presidente, tienen dos pasajes gratuitos al día, está acción hace parte de un paquete de estrategias para fortalecer y apoyar su labor comunal”, recalcó el alcalde Mauricio Salazar.
De igual manera, el mandatario de los pereiranos, instó a los presidentes de las JAC a ayudar a hacer conciencia que el trabajo por Pereira no es solo tarea de la Administración Municipal, sino que se trata de una tarea conjunta, donde todos deben aportar, especialmente en temas como el cuidado de los parques, la limpieza de la ciudad, el respeto por los demás y las normas de tránsito.
Jhon Walter Cardona Parra, presidente de la Junta de Acción Comunal del barrio Travesuras indicó que “me parece excelente lo que está haciendo el doctor Mauricio Salazar ahora en su Alcaldía, porque ese era un tema que siempre tocábamos con todas las administraciones, los presidentes de Junta estábamos totalmente olvidados y solamente nos buscaban cuando llegaban las elecciones, ahí sí éramos importantes; pero ahora desde que ha llegado a la alcaldía Mauricio ha demostrado un compromiso social y se ha comprometido para que podamos desarrollar todos estos temas que se habían quedado atrás con muchas comunidades, y quiero felicitar también todo el equipo de trabajo por todo lo que está haciendo con nosotros los presidentes”.
Al respecto María Oliva Tovar Moncada, dignataria principal de Federación de Juntas de Acción Comunal y presidenta de la Junta de Acción Comunal del barrio Centenario de Pereira, aseguró que “este es un acto donde el Alcalde honra a los presidentes de Juntas de Acción Comunal y la Federación de Juntas resalta este acto, porque el doctor Mauricio es el primero y el único, que apenas lleva dos meses de posesionado y está honrando los presidentes, es un acto que tenemos que resaltar porque en anteriores administraciones se demoraban 1 año o 2 y los presidentes pasando afugias sin la tarjeta del Megabús”.
Por último, reiteró la comunal, la importancia de este recurso porque los ediles hacen su labor ad Honorem, y muchas de estas personas no tienen dinero para su transporte, sobre todo los procedentes del sector rural.
